The Chrystal O'Jon for Maricopa City Council campaign ("we," "us," the "campaign") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect when you interact with votechrystal.com, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through one of our signup forms (supporter signup, splash signup, volunteer form, Ask Chrystal contact form, donations). Depending on the form, this may include:

Email address
Phone number
ZIP code
Volunteer details — availability, areas of interest, and any notes you add
Messages you send through the Ask Chrystal form
Donation information — for compliance with Arizona campaign finance law, donations also collect your address, employer, and occupation. Card payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

How we use it

To send you campaign updates, event invitations, and volunteer opportunities by email and SMS, when you've opted in.
To respond personally to messages you send us.
To coordinate volunteer activity and contact you about shifts.
To process donations and meet our legal reporting obligations under Arizona campaign finance law.
To understand which parts of the campaign are working (basic, aggregated analytics).

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other campaigns or commercial third parties for their own marketing.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and reach you. Each one only receives the information they need to do their job:

Brevo — our email and contact platform. When you sign up, your name, email, phone, and ZIP are sent to Brevo so we can send you campaign emails. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and acts as a data processor on our behalf. See Brevo's GDPR policy and their privacy policy.
Stripe — processes donations and stores card details securely. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Supabase — hosts the campaign database where your signup and message data is stored.
Mailgun — delivers transactional emails (welcome messages, donation receipts).

SMS messages

If you give us your phone number and consent, we may send you campaign updates by text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from email — every campaign email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at the address below.
Stop SMS — reply STOP to any text message.
Access, correct, or delete your data — email info@votechrystal.com and we will respond promptly. If you donated, we may need to retain certain records to comply with Arizona campaign finance law.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses minimal first-party storage to remember whether you've seen our welcome splash and to support basic conversion analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify supporters by email.
